Ethiopia, Greece Stress Need to Elevate Ties

Addis Ababa, Foreign Affairs State Minister, Mesganu Arga received Greece Ambassador to Ethiopia, Anna Farrou, at his office today.

During their conversation, Ambassador Mesganu said the longstanding historical people-to-people ties between the two countries need to be elevated to strong bilateral relations to help advance the mutual interests of both countries.

Ambassador Anna Farrou stated that although the two countries enjoy a long-standing relationship, they leave much to be desired in terms of turning the historic relationship into a political dialogue.

In connection with that, Ambassador Anna extended an invitation to Ambassador Mesganu from his counterpart to visit Greece to further boost bilateral relations.

Ambassador Mesganu accepted the invitation and said the dates would be settled to prepare a political consultative meeting, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
