Tanga Kafando Appointed Provisional Coordinator of Journalists’ Network for Major Projects

Bobo-dioulasso: National television journalist Tanga Kafando was appointed provisional national coordinator of a network of journalists, influencers, and activists on Thursday in the city of Sya. This network is tasked with enhancing the visibility of the National Office of Major Projects of Burkina (BN-GPB) activities within the context of various Presidential Initiatives.

According to Burkina Information Agency, during a 120-hour training workshop on Presidential Initiatives, which took place in Bobo-Dioulasso on August 7, 2025, participants elected Tanga Kafando to lead the network. This network is responsible for ensuring effective communication regarding the BN-GPB's actions.

Mr. Kafando expressed gratitude to his colleagues for trusting him to guide this new organization. He highlighted the network's role in promoting the six Presidential Initiatives through reports, radio and television broadcasts, and media alerts. These initiatives focus on community development, agricultural production and food self-sufficiency, sports succession, health, quality education, and the Faso Mªbo initiative.

The interim national coordinator emphasized that the newly formed office, consisting of three members, aims to support BN-GPB's communication strategies regarding government reforms. "We will truly do our best to accomplish our mission with the support of the National Office of Major Projects of Burkina Faso and our colleagues," he stated.

Mr. Kafando also mentioned plans to formalize the network to ensure its effective operation. Hortense Tibna, editor-in-chief of Radio Munyu in Banfora, serves as the network's secretary general, while content creator Delphine Sidbega is responsible for handling information.
