President Salva Kiir Arrives in Addis

South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit has arrived in Addis Ababa to participate in the 37th African Union heads of state and government summit. Upon his arrival at Bole International Airport today, Kiir was welcomed by Peace Minister Binalf Andualem and Foreign Affairs State Minister Birtukan Ayano. The summit will be held this weekend under the theme 'Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa.' African heads of state and government are arriving in the Ethiopian capital for the summit. The 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council being underway is expected to end today.
