Ethiopia and the United Kingdom have expressed commitment to working together to reduce the threat posed by Al-Shabaab in the region. The two sides signed MoU aims to boost the resilience of communities across the Ethiopia-Kenya-Somali borders to the drivers of violent extremism. Deputy Director-General of Africa Department at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jamaludin Mustafa, and the British Ambassador to Ethiopia, Darren Welch, inked the memorandum in a ceremony held on the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia. On the occasion, the two sides have expressed commitment to working together to reduce the threat posed by Al-Shabaab in the region, according to Foreign Affairs Ministry.
