Doha: The Eritrean community in Qatar convened for its 10th congress in Doha on 31 July, under the theme "Together for a Bright Future." The event saw a significant gathering of Eritrean nationals who engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing the community's role in national development.
According to African Press Organization, Mr. Ali Ibrahim, Eritrea's Ambassador to Qatar, praised the community's active participation and its contributions to various national development initiatives. He urged the community to continue enhancing its organizational capacity and mutual support amongst its members.
Participants at the congress engaged in thorough discussions on the presented activity report, leading to the adoption of several recommendations. They also formulated future programs and elected a new executive committee to guide their efforts moving forward.
Ambassador Ali Ibrahim lauded the active participation at the congress and urged members to support the newly elected executive committee in its endeavors. He emphasized the importance of encouraging Eritrean nationals to deepen their involvement in national affairs.
