Asmara: The 13th annual festival of Orotta College of Medicine and Science concluded on June 12 at the college premises in Asmara. The festival, which spanned six months, showcased educational, cultural, and sports programs, alongside fashion shows and presentations focused on advancements in medical education.
According to African Press Organization, Dr. Yemane Seium, the Dean of the College, highlighted the festival's role in bolstering student capacity, awareness, and competitiveness. He also emphasized its importance in cultural preservation, identity reinforcement, and fostering research and innovation among students.
Mr. Abrhalei Asefaw, head of the college branch of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students, remarked on the festival's growing content and participation. He underscored the events' contribution to enhancing the physical and psychological well-being of students.
Ms. Helen Amine, responsible for the follow-up of the union's regional branches, noted the collaborative efforts between the union and colleges in organizing such festivals. She pointed out that the festival's content reflects the students' capabilities and emphasized the importance of partner support.
During the festival, Mr. Alemseged Tesfay conducted a seminar discussing the societal significance of history, further enriching the event's educational offerings.
