Teseney: Mr. Abdu Ismail, representative of development, forestry, and wildlife conservation in Teseney sub-zone, reported that extensive water and soil conservation activities are being carried out through the students' summer work program. Mr. Abdu further stated that 736 participants in the program from the Fanko and Teseney centers are conducting community campaigns. According to African Press Organization, since the program began on 6 July, about 29,000 meters of terraces have been constructed. Tree seedlings are also being planted at schools and health facilities, with the program set to continue for 36 days. The program coordinators and participating students indicated that the initiative contributes to fostering love and harmony among students, as well as developing a strong work ethic. The report also outlines a plan to plant 10,000 indigenous tree seedlings in the Fanko administrative area and another 10,000 in the Endihai administrative area of Teseney sub-zone.
