Asmara: The Ministry of Defense has successfully concluded a three-month vocational training program for 175 members from the Naval Force, Air Force, and various departments within the Ministry. The training aimed to enhance the skills and capabilities of its personnel in various fields.
According to African Press Organization, the vocational training included both theoretical and practical elements, where 29 members received training in journalism, 37 in still and video camera operation, 59 in graphics, and 50 in computer technology. This initiative is part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to boost the professional capacity of its members.
At the closing ceremony of the training, Gen. Filipos Woldeyeohannes, Chief of Staff of the Eritrean Defense Forces, emphasized the importance of the trainees' role in documenting the history of Eritrean generations accurately. He highlighted the responsibility of transferring this knowledge to future generations.
Mr. Tesfaalem Kesete, the coordinator of the program, noted that the training was organized by the Promotion and Information Unit of the Ministry. The trainees received comprehensive instruction on time management, the use of information, and artificial intelligence, among other subjects.
Representatives of the trainees expressed their commitment to applying their newly acquired skills in documenting the Ministry's activities accurately. They also advocated for the continuation of such training programs to ensure ongoing professional development.
