Muslims Need to Support Poor, Needy People During Eid al-Fitr: Haji Ibrahim


Addis Ababa: Muslims should celebrate Eid al-Fitr in peace and solidarity, President of the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council, Haji Ibrahim Tufa said today.

In connection with the 1445th Eid al-Fitr, the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, Haji Ibrahim gave briefings to the media.

Haji Ibrahim said that muslims should celebrate the Eid al-Fitr by giving alms to the poor and needy people.

Eid al-Fitr must also be celebrated in peace, unity and brotherhood, Haji Ibrahim added.

He also pointed out that the faithful should give priority to maintain peace and foster brotherhood among the people during the holiday.

In this regard, he urged the faithful to play their part in maintaining the peace and stability of the country.
