Asmara: The National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, has facilitated an educational tour for youth workers from the Ministry of Agriculture to explore historical sites in the Northern Red Sea Region. This initiative was designed to help the youth workers gain a deeper understanding of their national history. According to African Press Organization, the group, consisting of 80 members, visited significant locations where pivotal operations such as Salina and Fenkil against Ethiopian colonizers were conducted. The group also explored the Ghinda front, various historical sites in Massawa, and received detailed briefings from freedom fighters who had firsthand experience in these areas. Additionally, the youth workers toured the Northern Red Sea Museum and the Abdur organic fertilizer production institution, further enriching their knowledge of the region's cultural and historical heritage.
