Professor Andreas Laid to Rest at Holy Trinity Cathedral Church in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa: The funeral ceremony of renowned scholar and former President of Addis Ababa University (AAU) Professor Andreas Eshete held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church in Addis Ababa in the presence of high level government officials and collegues. President Sahlework Zewde and other top government officials as well as his colleagues from the academia have attended the funeral ceremony. Professor Andreas Eshete served as President of AAU from 2003 to 2011. Professor Andreas, who died last week at age seventy-nine, was one of the greatest minds of Ethiopia's finest generation of thinkers. A child of the revolutionary movement, he was a reflective political philosopher, inspiring teacher, sensitive observer, curious inquirer, generous friend, and devoted patriot.
