Diaspora Nationals Celebrate 34th Independence Day Anniversary with Patriotic Zeal

GENEVA: Nationals residing in Switzerland, Canada, Angola, and France marked the 34th Independence Day anniversary under the theme "Our Cohesion - Our Armour." The event was characterized by patriotic celebrations across various locations.

According to African Press Organization, the celebratory event in Geneva, Switzerland, attracted over 4,600 nationals, members of the diplomatic community, and friends of Eritrea. Mr. Habtom Zeray, Charg© d'Affaires at the Eritrean Embassy and Permanent Representative of Eritrea to the UN Offices and other International Organizations, addressed the attendees. He extended his congratulations to the people and Government of Eritrea and its Defense Forces. Mr. Zeray emphasized that Independence Day is more than a festive occasion; it is an opportunity to assess the progress made in achieving the mission's objectives.

In Angola, nationals marked the 34th Independence Day anniversary in various cities. The celebrations included sports and cultural programs organized by students from the Eritrean Community School, highlighting the community's engagement and spirit.

In France, nationals in the cities of Rennes, Angers, Toulon, and Dijon also participated in the celebrations. The events featured a variety of programs, reflecting the enthusiasm of the Eritrean diaspora in commemorating their nation's independence.
