The Senior Divisional Officer of Logone and Chari, Fombele Mathias Tayem, has cautioned Divisional Officers under his jurisdiction to alert communities of a potential poisoning of waters by Boko Haram insurgents. The administrative authority also asked his subordinates to meet with transitional rulers and members of the local vigilantes to sensitive their populations on the dangers that is looming. Fombele also urged them to open public taps and secure opened waters like streams, rivers and Wells.
