Asmara: The National Confederation of Eritrean Workers, in partnership with the Institute of Training, Education and Research Consultancy, has successfully organized a training-of-trainers program. This initiative was aimed at enhancing the capabilities of its members and affiliates. According to African Press Organization, the training session took place in Asmara and saw participation from members of the executive committee of the confederation, along with heads of workers federations and regional offices. The comprehensive program covered various aspects such as pre-training research, identifying trainees, preparation of reference and training materials, and effective training modalities. It also emphasized the importance of feedback between trainers and trainees. Mr. Mulugeta Fesehatsion, who oversees training, education, and human resources development at the National Confederation of Eritrean Workers, remarked that this training was a continuation of previous similar initiatives. He urged trainees to implement the knowledge acquired in their workplaces to enhance productivity and effectiveness. In addition to the training program, the National Confederation of Eritrean Workers held a meeting focusing on improving its public relations activities. Mr. Girmay Abraham, head of public relations at the confederation, presented an insightful paper discussing universal principles and theoretical aspects of public relations in the context of the confederation's activities. He elaborated on the measures taken to overcome challenges faced by the public relations office. Mr. Kibreab Kidane, Deputy Secretary General of the confederation, encouraged all branches of the organization to collaborate closely with the public relations office to amplify their outreach and effectiveness.
