According to Burkina Information Agency, the visit aimed to honor the sacrifices of those who fell in combat and to provide support to the wounded soldiers. Minister of Defense Celestin Simpore emphasized the importance of remembering fallen soldiers and supporting those who have been injured. The visit was part of the activities commemorating the anniversary under the theme: “The National Armed Forces with the Burkinabe people in the progressive and popular revolution for the safeguarding and sovereign defense of Burkina Faso.”
