Zondoma: The provincial coordination of citizen monitoring associations of Zondoma organized a blood donation operation on Sunday, August 10, 2025, which allowed 42 bags of blood to be collected.
According to Burkina Information Agency, of the 50 blood bags expected, 42 were finally collected this Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Gourcy town hall. This operation, initiated by the provincial coordination of Zondoma citizen monitoring associations, aimed, according to its president, Oumarou Ou©draogo, to help save lives at a time when the need is so great due to malaria.
"We also want to ensure the availability of blood if needed to help combatants on the front lines," said the president of the coordination.
"This objective has been achieved, because if it hadn't been for the rain, we would have been able to mobilize more people," he noted, while urging the population to remain ready for other operations to come.
In addition to this blood donation operation, the Zondoma provincial citizen monitoring coordination has, to its credit, sanitation operations, repair of damaged roads, donations of food to the widows of combatants and many other forms of support for the fighting forces.
