According to Kenya News Agency, despite losing their opening match 37-64 to Rwanda, St. Joseph Girls have picked up pace. They defeated Juhudi from Tanzania 64-37 before edging out Kawa Tiwi of Mombasa 50-42. The school's Assistant Coach, Arnold Sitati, expressed determination to lift the title as they prepare to meet the remaining teams, noting that the girls are improving as they progress.

"We are looking at the trophy, that is our target. We are taking a game at a time and our next opponent is St. Noa of Uganda, so we are trying to plan how we are going to meet them since they are the defending champions," Sitati explained.
