Preparations for Southern Branch of Agricultural Society of Kenya Show Underway in Kisii


Kisii: It is all systems go as preparations for the southern branch of the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show in Kisii town, Kisii County, are in full swing. The number of exhibitors has increased by over 30 percent.



According to Kenya News Agency, branch chairman Kepha Onduso announced that the event, scheduled from 10th to 13th July, will include participation from seven counties, such as the neighboring Migori, Nyamira, and Homabay counties.



Onduso highlighted that preparations are actively being undertaken by exhibitors from sectors including banking, education, agriculture, saccos, and various small and medium enterprises. Over 100 exhibitors, including school 4K clubs, are expected to showcase offerings that will benefit learners engaged in the Competency-Based Education system.



ASK Show Chief Executive Officer Batram Muthoka expressed satisfaction with the preparations, aligning them with the event’s theme focusing on sustainability, adaptability, and resilience to climate change. Muthoka emphasized the collaboration with county governments, facilitating the event’s success and an increase in exhibitors from 65 to 100.



Muthoka praised the marketing strategies employed by the management team, which contributed to the growth in exhibitions. He anticipated a 30 to 40 percent rise in visitor numbers between 9th and 13th July. The CEO also mentioned that a comprehensive plan has been developed in accordance with the county’s strategy to maximize visitor benefits from the event.
