Inhabitants of Bamali, a village in Ndop, Ngoketunjia Division in the North West region are still in shock, following the killing of a popular welder in the village. The deceased, whose only name CNA got as Hubert was picked up by government soldiers in the village, after separatist fighters forced him to give them a ride on his bike. The incident occurred Wednesday September 18, 2024. Sources in Bamali have informed us that hours after dropping the gunmen at their destination, government soldiers picked up Hubert, molested and pulled him on the highway using their truck, before ending his life. Our source who opted not to be named for security reasons added that Hubert was a welder and never associate with separatist fighters. 'He was forced to carry them when he was going to see his mother-in-law,' After killing him, his corpse was abandoned at 3-corners Bamali, where his family members identified, and took it for burial on Thursday 19.
