Eritrean Community Festival Begins in Scandinavian Countries with Patriotic Zeal

Stockholm: The annual Eritrean community festival has commenced in the Scandinavian countries of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland, starting yesterday in Stockholm. The event is attended by nationals from various European countries, America, and other regions. The festival was officially opened by Mr. Fesehatsion Petros, Eritrea's non-resident Ambassador to the Scandinavian countries.

According to African Press Organization, Mr. Alem Teklegergis, Chairman of the Holidays Coordinating Committee, stated that Eritrean festivals extend beyond being mere public gatherings. They play a significant role in strengthening unity and attachment to the homeland, as well as nurturing nationalism and societal values.

Mr. Alem highlighted that the Eritrean festival in the Scandinavian countries is crucial in preserving national values. He further noted that the successful implementation of the festivals is a testament to the strong and committed participation of nationals and the effective organization of the community.
