- The Association of Women in the Mining Sector of Burkina Faso organized on September 20 and 21 in Réo, with the support of the Support Project for Strengthening Land and Mines Management, constitutive general assemblies for the formalization of two cooperatives dedicated to the production of poultry and small ruminants. In its desire to contribute to increasing opportunities for entrepreneurship and socio-economic empowerment for young people and women in mining sites, the Association of Women in the Mining Sector of Burkina Faso (AFEMIB) initiated the project "Strengthening the capacities of 500 women and young people on ten (10) mining sites through income-generating activities (IGA)". As part of the fourth phase of the said project, AFEMIB was in Réo on September 18 and 19, 2024 for the holding of the Constitutive General Meetings, in order to formalize two cooperatives and validate the technical specifications of the beneficiaries' equipment.
