the government wants to build roads at a lower cost to accelerate the opening up of isolation Ouagadougou, October 16, 2024 (AIB) - The Burkinabe government adopted on Wednesday "Faso Mêbo", a presidential initiative that will allow public brigades to build roads at a lower cost, to accelerate the opening up of cities and the countryside. "Given the urgency of the situation and the need to move faster, the Head of State launched the "Faso Mêbo" initiative, the first component of which will consist of public brigades building road infrastructure at lower costs," declared the Minister of State, Government Spokesperson, Jean-Emmanuel Ouédraogo. For him, this initiative, which will accelerate the opening up of cities and the countryside, will improve the success and performance of other initiatives, particularly that for food security, and therefore, the development of populations. "The equipment necessary for the operation of these brigades is currently being acquired," stressed the Minister of State. Sou rce: Burkina Information Agency
