Addis Ababa: The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has reiterated its commitment to supporting Ethiopia's government in expanding the use of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). Governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia Mamo Mihretu and Executive Director of Ethiopia's national ID program held discussion with Bill Gates to explore ways to strengthen their existing partnership. The focus of the talks was on advancing regional, gender, and Islamic finance, it was indicated. During the meeting, the Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to support the government in its drive to expand the use of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) as a critical enabler of digital transformation and advancing financial inclusion, it was indicated.
