Ouagadougou: Pope Francis expressed on Sunday his condolences and closeness to the people of Burkina Faso, following the terrorist attack that claimed the lives of several people in Barsalgho on August 24, 2024. On Sunday after the Angelus prayer, Pope Francis said he learned with sorrow of the loss of many people including women and children in a terrorist attack in Barsalgho. "In condemning these attacks against human life, I express my closeness to the entire Nation and my condolences to the families of those affected, and I pray for all the victims.
