Eritrea Hosts Public Celebration for Kudus Yohannes Holiday in Gerenfit

Gerenfit: A public celebration in connection with Kudus Yohannes Holiday was held in the Gerenfit administrative area in the Gash Barka Region. The event was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and the Commission of Culture and Sports and saw participation from Ambassador Mahmud Ali Hirui, Governor of the Gash Barka Region, alongside senior government officials, Army Commanders, religious leaders, and public representatives from the Gerenfit area. According to African Press Organization, Mr. Idris Saleh, Director General of Culture and Sports in the Gash Barka Region, extended his best wishes for the Kudus Yohannes Holiday. He emphasized that the holiday is a significant religious occasion that embodies the culture and values of the Eritrean people. This year's celebration held particular significance as it coincided with the Golden Jubilee of the armed struggle for independence and the 50th anniversary of the Revolution School. The event featured a series of cultural and artistic pr esentations, including performances by the Aser cultural troupe and a traditional cultural troupe from the Brar administrative area.
