Burkina Faso Traditional Healer Contributes 40 Tons of Building Materials to Faso Mebo Initiative


Ouagadougou: A traditional healer from Nagreongo, El Hadj Saidou Bikienga, has significantly contributed to the presidential initiative Faso Mebo by donating 40 tons of cement, 80 tons of granite, and 120 tons of sand. The symbolic handover was conducted by his son, El Hadj Mahamadou Bikienga, on behalf of his father.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was made on Saturday, November 1, 2025, and forms part of the efforts to support the Faso Mebo initiative. This initiative aims to enhance and open up the country’s cities while fostering community involvement. During the handover ceremony at Zinda Kabore High School, the donor’s son expressed their commitment to the national cause, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in building the nation.



He stressed that the Faso Mebo initiative should be a priority for all Burkinabe citizens, urging everyone to contribute according to their capabilities. In addition to the material donation, El Hadj Saidou Bikienga has also mobilized a workforce to further support the presidential initiative.



Renowned as Saidou Nagreongo, El Hadj Saidou Bikienga is a well-known traditional healer whose reputation extends internationally. He offers relief to numerous patients through prayer and natural remedies. In recognition of his services to the nation, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Franco-Arab African Council for Grades (CAFAG) on August 30, 2025.
