Koudougou: Municipal police officers, in collaboration with the population, arrested two individuals along with three minors on Monday at the Koudougou bus station. The suspects are accused of attempting to smuggle three minors, aged 12 to 15, into Guinea Conakry. The children, from rural areas, had been approached with false promises of employment.
According to Burkina Information Agency, thanks to the vigilance of law enforcement and citizens, the two suspected traffickers were apprehended. The three minors were immediately taken into care by child protection services while awaiting their release to their families.
This arrest is the fourth of its kind at the Koudougou bus station in 2025. This underlines the constant danger that these networks represent for vulnerable children, often lured by “illusion sellers”.
The Koudougou municipal police welcome the active cooperation of the population and call on parents to be extra vigilant in the supervision and education of their children.
