Eritreans in Sweden Contribute Over 105,000 Kroner to National Martyrs Trust Fund

Stockholm: Nationals in Sweden have collectively contributed over 105,000 Kroner to the National Martyrs Trust Fund. This significant sum was raised through the efforts of various individuals and associations, showcasing a strong commitment to supporting the fund.

According to African Press Organization, Mr. Negasi Goitom, Head of Finance of the Holidays Coordinating Committee, detailed the contributions. The Stockholm branch of the National Union of Eritrean Women donated 2,000 Kroner. An anonymous benefactor added 2,500 Kroner. Further donations included 5,000 Kroner from women members of the Southern Stockholm Association, 5,600 Kroner from the Husby-Kista-Akalla Women’s Association, 3,000 Kroner from the Medhanie Alem Women’s Association in Stockholm, and 3,000 Kroner from author Rim Tesfom.

Additionally, Ms. Genet Tewolde contributed 5,000 Kroner in memory of her martyred brother, while Ms. Emnet Tekle donated 2,000 Kroner in honor of her two martyred brothers. Hewan Decoration Center contributed a substantial 14,000 Kroner, and the Eritrean community in Hasselby-Vallingby provided the largest single contribution of 35,000 Kroner.
