Bamenda II second deputy Mayor found dead in pool of blood

The second deputy Mayor of Bamenda 2, Joko Frida, was found dead on October 28, 2024. She is said by family sources to have been kidnapped on October 26 at her Savana Street residence after returning from the Paul Biya documentary film projection in the town. The lifeless body of the deceased politician was found at Nchoubuh junction in a pool of blood. Images that CNA has seen show her body being carried away by a van from the Bamenda Regional Hospital. Much has not been known yet about the circumstances leading to her death. But the murder is alleged to be separatist-led. Source: Cameroon News Agency
