Addis Ababa: President Taye Atske Silassie held talks with UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres in Addis Ababa on Monday. During their discussion, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between Ethiopia and the UN, addressing regional peace and security issues, and the need to enhance multilateralism. In a social media post, president Taye expressed gratitude to Guterres for his leadership in the successful conclusion of the 79th UN General Assembly in New York. It is to be recalled that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed jointly with Secretary General Guterres inaugurated African hall, a landmark of liberation and a symbol of Pan-African unity.
