Khwisero: At least 20 state-of-the-art tuition blocks that were under construction have been completed and handed over to various secondary schools in Khwisero Constituency. The ultra-modern storey buildings funded through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) were handed over to various schools after the contractors finalised the works.
According to Kenya News Agency, Kwisero Member of Parliament Christopher Aseka presided over the handing over ceremony at Lwanda Dudi Secondary School in Muhaka Sub-location, Kisa West Ward. He stated that the facility will ease congestion, improve the learning environment, and raise academic standards. Aseka emphasized that the initiative is part of an effort to secure the future of learners by investing in adequate and modern infrastructure.
Aseka remarked, "Education is the strongest foundation for development. By giving our children better classrooms, we are not only motivating them to learn but also creating equal opportunities for success." Parents and teachers have expressed optimism that the new facility will boost performance and reduce overcrowding. One parent noted that the block will restore dignity and allow students to concentrate better.
The 20 storey blocks already constructed are spread across the constituency and have significantly improved the capacity of schools to handle rising student populations. Local leaders have pledged to sustain investment in education infrastructure, stating it is key to uplifting the constituency's academic profile and empowering the next generation.
With every new block completed, Khwisero continues to lay a stronger foundation for quality education and a brighter future for its learners.
