Minister of Finance Ahmed Shide has conducted a productive discussion with UNICEF's Deputy Executive Director for Humanitarian Action and Supply Operations, Edward Chaiban today. The meeting focused on Ethiopia's current development and humanitarian issues and on ongoing efforts to address urgent challenges in the country, according to the Ministry of Finance. The two sides agreed on the need for international partners' timely and scaled-up response to climate-related shocks, drought, and related humanitarian needs. Chaiban reiterated UNICEF's commitment to help create momentum for international support behind Ethiopia's efforts to stability, and recovery and addressing humanitarian and development needs comprehensively.
