UK Launches Close to £6 Million worth Agreement to Support Ethiopian Red Cross Society

The United Kingdom (UK) has launched an agreement worth £5.9 million to support the Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) today.

UK AID, in partnership with the British Red Cross, launched the agreement, according to the British Embassy in Ethiopia.

UK Ambassador to Ethiopia Darren Welch and ERCS President Abera Tolla signed the agreement.

Following the agreement, Ambassador Welch handed over vehicles, kicking off a new partnership with Ethiopian Red Cross Society and British Red Cross to help deliver health and WASH support to those most in need.

According to the press release of the UK Embassy, the support marks a milestone for a new partnership between ERCS and the British Red Cross to help deliver health and WASH support to those most in need.
