Solenzo Civil Society Groups Commemorate Victims of Popular Uprising


Solenzo: Civil society groups in Banwa province gathered on Friday morning to observe a minute of silence in remembrance of the victims of the popular uprising that took place on October 30 and 31, 2014, as well as those affected by the failed coup of September 2015.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the commemoration took place in front of the prefecture of Solenzo. The event saw the presence of the High Commissioner, Sanfienale Joseph Sirima, along with leaders from various social strata and public administration officials. Participants assembled at 9:55 a.m., and at 10:00 a.m., a whistle signaled the start of the observance, allowing all present to honor the memory of those who lost their lives in these events.
