Santchou: Trigger-happy gendarme shoots teenager to death

The people of Santchou in Dschang, West region of Cameroon, on Thursday afternoon, blocked the road linking the Menoua Division and Douala in the Littoral region, demanding the head of the gendarme who shot the child. Local media report that the Gendarme was furious after asking in futility the parents of the victim to show proof of ownership of a bicycle that was in their car. It is also alleged that he was asking for a bride. He fired shots shooting the 14-year-old in the head. The victim was at the back of the car when he was killed at close range.
