The Green Legacy is about protecting, respecting and prospering Ethiopia, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said.
Preparations have been completed to plant 500 million tree seedlings on July 17, 2023 across Ethiopia.
“Our Objective is to Break Our Own Record,” Prime Minister Abiy posted on his official Facebook page today.
Our competition is with ourselves, the Premier stated, and added that the regions, zones, woredas and villages will break their own records by planting more than last year. Each of us has to break our own records.” The Green Legacy is about protecting, respecting and prospering Ethiopia. It is about changing the course of history and doing it for the next generation, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said.
Expressing his readiness to plant more plants, Abiy urged all Ethiopians be ready for breaking their previous record by planting trees tomorrow, July 17, 2023.
It is to be recalled that the nation planted record 350 million trees in a single day and this year’s seedlings planting intends to surpass the previous record by 150 million.
