Oudalan: The citizen watch of the commune of Deou, in the province of Oudalan, launched on Saturday, September 20, 2025, a Maracana competition and a leisure day to bring together the girls and sons of the locality around the values ??of solidarity, fraternity, and social cohesion. “Through this tournament, we want to send the message that, despite the trials and challenges we face, we must remain united, supportive, and committed to building a future of peace and prosperity,” said the president of the Deou citizen watch, Hadjratou Brahima Cisse.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president emphasized that this sporting and fraternal meeting goes beyond the simple framework of the game. It is the strong symbol of living together, solidarity, and fraternity which must unite all the municipalities of the province and, beyond, the whole of Burkina Faso. To achieve its objectives, the Association intends to rely on young people, whom it considers to be the strength and hope of a nation and whose energy, intelligence, and courage are indispensable.
Reminding young people that “nothing lasting can be built without discipline, cohesion, and commitment,” Hadjratou Brahima Cisse called for vigilance and the strengthening of collaboration with the Combat Forces engaged in securing the country. According to the tournament’s honorary president, Abdoulaye Rabo, the holding of this football competition reflects the desire of young people to stand up, express themselves, and contribute positively to social cohesion.
Convinced that this tournament is a space for fraternity and a source of inspiration to strengthen living together, he invited the athletes to play with passion, respecting the rules and fair play. Scheduled from September 20 to October 4, 2025, the competition, which brings together 12 teams from the five communes of Oudalan, is held under the theme: “For social cohesion, solidarity and living together.”
