NUEYS activity assessment meeting

Sawa, At an activity assessment meeting the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students conducted on 4 and 5 January in Sawa it was reported that in 2020 the priority task of the union will be to ensure strong participation of the youth in the political and developmental activities.

At the meeting activity report of 2019 was presented in terms of strengths and challenges and program for 2020 was designed.

The meeting also discussed on the activities conducted to raise the political and socio-economic awareness of the youth, vocational training organized and opportunities created with a view to develop the capacity of the youth, role of the youth and stakeholders in the national development drives, contribution of Eritrean youth in the Diaspora as well as effort exerted to develop the influence and participation of the union in the regional and global issues.

The meeting also reviewed the progress of the three years of the five years strategic plan until 2021 and the way forward on the remaining two years.

Indicating that the successful implementation of the charted out programs was the result of the integrated effort and active participation of the youth and stakeholders, Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, Chairman of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students, called for reinforced participation for better outcome.
