Ouagadougou: The National Office for the Securing of Mining Sites (ONASSIM) has made a significant contribution of 50 million FCFA to the presidential initiative Faso Mebo, in a ceremony held on Wednesday in Ouagadougou. This contribution is aimed at fostering development across the 17 regions of Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this donation underscores ONASSIM’s commitment to the development of Burkina Faso. The Director General of ONASSIM, Commander Wendbousida Arnauld Ouedraogo, expressed that the donation is a testament to their dedication to solidarity and prosperity. The initiative is seen as a means to actively contribute to building a shared future for the nation.
Commander Ouedraogo highlighted that by supporting the Faso Mebo initiative, ONASSIM is reaffirming its allegiance to the principles of patriotism, responsibility, and social justice. He noted that Faso Mebo is more than just an initiative; it is a vision that empowers citizens and encourages public participation, allowing each Burkinabe to take active roles in their communities.
The national coordinator of Faso Mebo, Commander Ahmed Zoodnoma Sakande, expressed appreciation for ONASSIM’s contribution. He also called on citizens to support the initiative by making contributions through the ‘FASO Arzeka’ account in their respective regions.
