Nahouri High Commissioner Monitors Progress of Health Infrastructure Construction


Nahouri: The High Commissioner of the province of Nahouri, Sie Aristide Mohamed Kam, conducted an inspection tour to assess the progress of health infrastructure projects in the province and to motivate the construction companies involved.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the province of Nahouri is benefiting from the Primary Health Care Strengthening Project for the Improvement of Health and Nutrition (PRSS-ASN), which includes the construction of four health infrastructures in the municipalities of P´, Guiaro, and Zecco. This effort is aimed at enhancing health and nutrition services within the province.



During the visit on October 10, 2025, the High Commissioner, along with the President of the special delegation (PDS) of P´, Ilassa Dianda, and the chief medical officer of the health district of P´, Dr. Boukare Wanre, inspected the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) at Songo 2, which is currently under construction. Mr. Dianda expressed concerns about the slow progress and urged the construction company to expedite their efforts to ensure timely and quality delivery.



Mr. Dianda also emphasized the need for local resource persons to engage the community in supporting the construction efforts. Following the visit to Songo 2, the High Commissioner proceeded to the Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA) in P´, where newly developed infrastructure has been operational since October 6, 2025. The provincial authority commended the staff for their dedication across various departments, including the morgue, pediatrics, and maternity.



This inspection marks the beginning of a series of visits planned by the High Commissioner to Guiaro and Zecco, where additional infrastructure projects are set to commence. These projects include the construction of facilities in the villages of Saro and Kountioro in Guiaro, and Bourouma in Zecco. The planned infrastructure will feature staff housing, dispensaries, maternity wards, shared services, and shelters for accompanying persons, aiming to significantly enhance health service delivery across the three municipalities.
