Minister of State Evaluates Progress of 2025-2026 Agricultural Campaign in Boulgou


Boulgou: The Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture, Animal Resources and Fisheries, Commander Isma«l Sombie, visited the rice-growing lowlands of Bagre in Boulgou province to assess the progress of the 2025-2026 agricultural campaign.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the head of the agricultural zone, Amadou Kabore, noted that producers adhered to sowing deadlines and applied inputs as per the schedule established by the technical services. These efforts demonstrate the commitment of local stakeholders to the campaign’s success.



The Minister of State expressed satisfaction with the progress observed on the ground, commending the producers and all stakeholders for their mobilization. He emphasized the importance of seriousness and patriotism in achieving food sovereignty, reaffirming the government’s commitment to support these efforts.



During his visit to the Patta site, a 40-hectare rice-growing lowland in the Nakambe area, the minister evaluated the satisfactory progress of the crops. Commander Sombie also reiterated the ministry’s goal to strengthen hydro-agricultural developments, aiming to enhance production throughout all seasons, with particular focus on the upcoming dry season.
