Kenedougou: A Joint Mission Explores Sites for Industrial Infrastructure in Orodara

Orodara: A joint mission from the National Land Coordination Authority (ANCF) and the General Directorate of Industrial Development (DGDI), led by ANCF Director of Operations Boroma Traore, visited Orodara on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, for sites intended to accommodate industrial infrastructure, in accordance with urban planning documents. The ANCF and DGDI mission arrived in Orodara to explore sites intended to accommodate industrial infrastructure.

According to Burkina Information Agency, ANCF Director of Operations Boroma Traore stated that the initiative aligns with the vision of Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traore, who aims to make industrialization a key lever for development in the country’s major cities. This follows the Manga meeting held on June 14, 2025, between the Head of State and the region’s key forces.

In Orodara, the delegation visited a 300-hectare site located in the southeast of the Urban Development Master Plan (SDAU) perimeter, along national road no. 11, on the border between the municipalities of Orodara and Kourinion. This site, according to initial findings, presents good development conditions, being clear, available, and easily secured.

The President of the special delegation of the commune of Orodara, Emmanuel Konate, who accompanied the mission, indicated that consultations with local customary authorities had already begun to facilitate the land mobilization process. He welcomed this initiative by the State as a means to strengthen the local dynamic of industrial development.

The High Commissioner of the Kenedougou province, Saidou Sakira, expressed support for this approach by the government, aimed at improving living conditions while promoting the economic and industrial potential of the province.
