Ioba Achieves Significant Progress in 2025 Primary School Certificate Success Rate


Ioba: The province of Ioba has made remarkable strides in education by achieving a 90.85% success rate in the Primary School Certificate (CEP) for the 2025 session, marking an improvement of 10.69% from the previous year.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF), Adama N©ya, expressed satisfaction and congratulated all education stakeholders for their contributions to this achievement. The success rate for the CEP exam increased notably from 80.16% in 2024 to 90.85% in 2025. Out of 5,291 candidates who took the exam, 4,807 were successful, including 2,814 girls and 2,477 boys.



The compiled results from the 10 juries in the province indicate that girls achieved a success rate of 89.94%, with 2,531 successful candidates, while boys achieved a success rate of 91.89%, with 2,276 successful candidates.



Mr. N©ya attributed these improved results to the concerted efforts of educational stakeholders. He highlighted the importance of mock exams in addressing shortcomings and the role of assessment meetings in bridging educational gaps. The involvement of educational supervisors and the organization of educational days also played a crucial role in this accomplishment.



Expressing satisfaction with the exceeded target of 83%, Mr. N©ya encouraged teachers, educational supervisors, and parents to continue their efforts for future sessions to sustain and build upon these achievements.
