Goulmou Archers to Represent Region at SNC 2026

Goulmou: 3 archers were selected to defend the Goulmou region at the National Culture Week (SNC) 2026, following the regional archery competition.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the selection was made after a competition that saw 14 out of 16 registered participants compete. The president of the archery competition jury, Auguste Zinzere, announced that after two rounds of three shootings, three archers emerged to represent the region at the SNC 2026 in Bobo-Dioulasso.

The event was part of the Regional Culture Week (SRC), which took place from September 18 to 20 in Fada N’Gourma. The governor of the Goulmou region, Ram Joseph Kafando, inaugurated the competition with an inaugural shooting. Participants competed in two categories: adults, with men shooting from 30 meters and women from 20 meters, and youth, who competed from 15 meters.

Louobou Djingri, a competitor from Bogande, expressed appreciation for the event’s organization. Although he did not succeed this year, he acknowledged the experience as beneficial and wished longevity to the organizers for their efforts in promoting culture.
