France: New Massive Mobilization Against the Macronist Junta’s Iniquitous Policy

France: The French mobilized en masse this Thursday to denounce the governance of the imperialist Emmanuel Macron, who intends to make the poorest bear the weight of the abysmal debt incurred by the country due to his calamitous economic management.

According to Burkina Information Agency, faced with this massive mobilization, which far exceeded that of September 8, the head of the French junta deployed some 80,000 police and gendarmes, supported by drones, armored vehicles, and water cannons to suppress the protesters. Several violent arrests were recorded.

“Today, what France needs is Emmanuel Macron’s departure! Let’s block everything!” declared Marianne Maximi, a member of parliament for La France Insoumise (LFI).

“Mr. Macron must go. He is responsible for the situation. He has lost the last three elections and four prime ministers. The path to Macron’s departure is underway,” insisted LFI leader Jean-Luc Melenchon.

This mobilization across France denounces in particular the cuts in public services, the reform of unemployment insurance and the freezing of social benefits, measures included in the 44 billion euro savings plan intended to reduce France’s public debt, estimated at 114% of GDP.

“Everyone in the country has understood that Macron has pursued a policy serving the ultra-rich, extorting money from everyone else. We want to break with this policy and force the rich to participate in the national effort. We logically refuse any negotiation with him and Lecornu. Macron must go!” declared MP Mathilde Panot.

As a reminder, Sebastien Lecornu was appointed Prime Minister on September 8, a few hours after the overthrow of his predecessor Fran§ois Bayrou. The formation of his government is still pending.
