Ethiopia’s Ongoing Reform Bearing Fruits in Various Spheres, Says PM Abiy

Addis Ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed highlighted the success stories of the country’s far-reaching reform that has been bringing about tangible results in numerous areas.

‘We are in the process of achieving political, economic, security sector, law, agriculture, education and civil service reforms,’ the Prime Minister emphasized.

Prime Minister Abiy delivered this message on his social media pages following the celebration of Pagumen 1 (September 6, 2024) is designated a ‘Transition Day,’ part of 5 transition days before the Ethiopian New Year and marked with specific purposes.

Explaining that Ethiopia has now embarked on a historic reform, the Premier recalled the country’s experience in the past when its revolutions swept away good and bad assets.

However, those revolutions haven’t yet enabled the East African nation to build transcending institutions.

‘That is why we have currently reinforcing a reform,’ Abiy underscored.

Therefore, the Premier stressed the need for taking issues that would be best
for us by weighing, sifting, and examining, he said, adding that ‘we will be also discarding what is not good for us.’

As far as we work together, the Prime Minister assured that there is no reform that Ethiopia couldn’t achieve and attain prosperity.
