Addis Ababa: Minister of Finance Ahmed Shide held talks with the European Union (EU) Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen.
The two discussed Ethiopia’s economic and political situation, and regional developments and cooperation under the Horn of Africa Initiative.
‘During a recent stop-over in Addis Abeba, Commissioner Jutta Urpilainen held constructive discussions on the economic and political situation in Ethiopia, as well as regional developments and cooperation under the Horn of Africa Initiative with Ahmed Shide, Ethiopia’s Minister of Finance,’ according to the European Union in Ethiopia.
The Horn of Africa Initiative is a regional platform mainly for finance ministers of the Horn of Africa to discuss regional challenges in the way to unlock economic potential through cooperation, it was learned.
