Dekemhare: A seminar focused on food safety was organized for farmers, agricultural experts, and partners from the sub-zones of Segeneity, Mai-Aini, and Dekemhare. The event took place in Dekemhare city on 16 September.
According to African Press Organization, the seminar featured presentations by Mr. Petros Habtemicael, a plant control expert from the Southern Region, who provided an in-depth briefing regarding the safe use of pesticides. He emphasized the importance of careful handling of crops until harvest and urged farmers to supply healthy agricultural products and food to the public.
Additionally, Mr. Ande Ermias, a plant development expert, discussed food safety and agricultural management. He encouraged the use of organic fertilizers and recommended avoiding chemical fertilizers to ensure food safety.
